How it all started

Harms Aviation GmbH, (“HARMS”), was founded in 2011 in Germany by Capt. Dieter Harms. Mr. Harms had previously worked for many years in the aviation industry, gaining executive management experience in various areas such as flight operations, flight-crew training, and safety management. He saw an opportunity to establish a consultancy firm that would provide innovative solutions for aviation organizations and help them comply with industry regulations and standards.

Our History

In its early years, HARMS focused on developing and implementing the at that time most innovative training strategies for aviation organizations: the Multi Pilot Licence (MPL) concept.

The company quickly gained a reputation for its expertise in the evolving field of competency-based training and assessment (CBTA), which became one of its core services.

HARMS also began facilitating certifications and approvals for organizations, helping them navigate the complex regulatory environment of the aviation industry.

Over time, HARMS expanded its services to include business planning and optimization for training matters, supporting investors, owners, and accountable managers, as well as government organizations in aviation training and operations matters. The company continued to grow, attracting a team of top-level experts with experience in all areas of the aviation industry.

Today

Today, HARMS is recognized as a leading provider of aviation consultancy services, known for its commitment to innovation in compliance and its ability to deliver high-quality services that meet the specific needs of its clients. The company continues to expand its services and expertise, including the latest technological development like eVTOL and artificial intelligence.

We always strive to provide the most innovative while compliant solutions for our customers.
